Here is a glimpse behind the scenes of one of our natural pond projects in France. This pond was built to look like a naturally occurring pond, even though it is discretely lined with vinyl and has rainwater collection pipes feeding into it.
Building such a pond has a profound and positive impact on the local eco-system. Not only does it introduce plant diversity, but it also provides a robust habitat in which all sorts of creatures can thrive. The resulting eco-system is more complete and therefore healthier. Ponds are an important aspect of true Integrated Pest Management, as well as organic and/or Permaculture gardens.
